I was honored to receive the Golden Apple Award today.  To my surprise another teacher wrote an awe-inspiring letter nominating me.  I so love the people I work with at T.O. Rusheon Middle School.  They are wonderful educators seeking to make a difference in the lives of our students.

A little about me . . ..

 I graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature.  I am currently enrolled at Tech University and will graduate this year with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction/Reading Specialist.  This is my 6^th year teaching READ 180 at Rusheon Middle School.  I am certified to teach English/Language Arts, grades 6-12 as well as Middle School Math.

I am passionate about instilling a love for learning in my students’ lives.  This site is dedicated to my students discovering the magic of reading!
